Bylaws, Policies, Practices and protocols
bylawsThe bylaws reviewed include those that may be relevant to individuals facing or experiencing homelessness. To this end, I focused on bylaws related to parks, public property usage, public nuisance, loitering, and renoviction. While these were the primary areas of focus, where additional bylaws that warranted inclusion were identified, these have been incorporated accordingly. This is a non-exhaustive list, and other applicable bylaws may exist beyond those noted here.
Nuisance bylaw - 2011-125 A bylaw to prohibit or regulate public nuisances within the City of Waterloo Municipal parks bylaw number: 2014 - 077 - A bylaw to provide regulation for municipal parks and to provide a process for the authorization of particular uses within municipal parks. Bylaw number: 2009 - 077 A bylaw to control idling of vehicles Bylaw number: 2010 - 073 A bylaw to prohibit and regulate noise within the City of Waterloo Rental housing licensing bylaw number: 2011-047 A bylaw to provide for the licensing, regulating and governing for the business of residential rental units in the City of Waterloo. |
